Brian Clarke - Owner/MD
Brian launched our parent company Kidz in Sport in 2010 and as since overseen it`s growth and was instrumental in recognising the need to introduce Kidz in Focus to cope with the growing demand for their services from the school and performing arts market place.
Before this Brian had over 25 years experience in publishing with EMAP and the Midland News Association where he began his career with the Shropshire Star Newspaper, before moving to the Express & Star in Wolverhampton. Here he was appointed to become Display Advertising Manager, a position he held for nearly 10 years, before enjoying promotion to Advertising Manager and serving on the board of Directors on Britain`s largest circulating regional newspaper. It was here that he had the opportunity to work with develop relationships with some of the top photographers in the Midlands.
This back ground in publishing and marketing plus his knowledge and unique understanding of a clients photographic needs and his proven ability to deliver elite images and publishing material across all sectors of school life, has provided numerous schools and academies across Shropshire and beyond with a refreshing new approach to the photography delivered to parents and the image of the school.
Mike Robinson - Editor
Mike Robinson is Shropshire born and bred, and was head boy at the old Oswestry Boys' High School before reading English at King's College, London. He has been a career journalist, staring as a junior reporter on the Oswestry Advertizer in 1972 and moving on to be deputy sports editor of the Wrexham-based Evening Leader. In 1988 he joined Shropshire Newspapers, where he became depuity editor of the Shrewsbury Chronicle series of newspapers. During this time he also did shift work on the sports desks of the Daily Express and the Daily Star.
In 1997 he was appointed editor of the Hereford, Mid Wales and South Shropshire Journal group of newspapers, six titles in all - a position he held until he took early retirement in 2009. Since then he has been editor of Kidz in Sport publications, though he has recently been lured out of retirement by NWN Media. He now works part-time for NWN as a page designer and writer of a pouplar weekly sports column in his first paper, the Advertiser.
Paul Cawston - Customer Relations Manager & Photographer
Paul's role is to ensure the smooth running of the Kidz in Sport photographic service. From editing the raw images taken at our photo shoots to administrating postal and on line orders to a successful conclusion within our delivery cycle, plus uploading the images on to our web site in conjunction with our web master. He combines this role as one of our main line photographers. This experience enables him to demand and deliver the highest quality images from the photographer, pass each image through photo shop, then on to our photographic processors who he works very closely with. His attention to detail is only matched by his intention to provide our customers the highest quality images possible inside the necessary time frame.
